Our vaccination program begins at 8 weeks of
age, protecting your puppy against the following viruses:
distemper, hepatitis, parvo, corona, and parainfluenza. These
viruses are in combination vaccine given as one injection
(DA2PPC). Please submit a stool sample for worm analysis.

Your puppy needs lots of human contact and must
be taught to accept all forms of routine handling, including
nail trimming, teeth work and coat care. Puppies need to socialize
with new people, environments and other pets in order to develop
healthy relationships. Crate training and house training begin.

| 12 Wks. |
Your second puppy visit will include a physical
examination and a booster for DA2PPC as well as the intranasal
kennel cough vaccine. |
Your puppy's size increases rapidly and motor
control is better developed. Introduce simple commands such
as come, sit, down, stay with the use of treats. We recommend
puppy classes 2 weeks after these shots.

| 16 Wks. |
Your third puppy visit is a booster of DA2PPC
and a rabies vaccine. Advise re-check of stool for worms.
Can start puppy on heartworm and flea prevention programs. |
Your puppy begins to lose their baby teeth.
This means a lot of chewing on things, so be prepared with
proper, safe chewing toys. |
| 6 Months |
Ready for spay or neuter at 6 months, depending
on development.

Puppy coat is slowly being replaced by a distinctive
adult coat. |
6 Mths.
- 1 Year |
Revaccinate at 1 year from rabies vaccination
and annually. Yearly heartworm preventive medication and alternate
year testing. Can change to an adult formulation diet at this
time. |
Your puppy begins to sexually mature; male begins
to lift his leg, females have their first heat cycle anywhere
from 6-18 months. Timing varies from breed to breed. |
